We have been working on the idea of a grand Literary Festival in Peshawar, since 2018. It is great to see Peshawar reclaiming the space for literature, as many festivals, literary gatherings, reading circles, and book circles are in place. Literary Festivals are intellectual platforms, to provide a safe space for debate and to celebrate the classical and contemporary literature a society possesses. Literary festivals offer not only opportunities to connect with other readers, but also the chance to connect with authors and their words and ideas in particular and sometimes surprising ways. It fosters an overall culture of intellectual growth and acceptability.
In this regard, we have planned a three-day, “Peshawar Literary Festival – Season I”, happening in the first quarter of 2023. Are you excited ? …
