Jaun Eliya

Jaun Eliya, born as Syed Hussain Jaun Asghar was a notable name in the field of poetry. (14 December 1931 – 8 November 2002). He had a great command over different languages including Urdu, English, Arabic, Sanskrit, Persian and Hebrew. He was a philosopher, Poet, Scholar and Biographer. Jaun was born in a family of scholars, so it was obvious for him to adapt to this field. His poetry is still being praised worldwide that has a touch of sorrow and love. He was the one who stands up against Indian partition, but later he chooses to live in Pakistan. He received many awards for his work in Urdu Literature.

Jaun Eliya Biography
Jaun Elia is a very well-known poet of the modern era. Although he has died in the last decade, his poetry is still inspiring the thoughts of the masses, especially the young community. Jaun Elia is also a philosopher, biographer, and scholar as well.
He belongs to a famous family as he bothers of Rais Amrohi and Ayyad Muhammad Taqi. Both of them were well-known journalists and psychoanalysts. Urdu is his dominant language of work, but he also has fluency in Arabic, English, Persian, Sanskrit, and Hebrew. His poetry deals with the mixture of uniqueness in his field of writing. Jaun Elia is very heart-touching. He is unable to find his idealism, so he became frustrated.
The personality of Jaun Elia is very different from the other poets and writers because all of them are attached to a particular religion, sect, and school of thought but Jaun Elia is not like all of them.
